About Lisa
I am a 59-year-old Mom of 3 grown adults, 40, 35, and 32, and a Grandma of 5, ages 21 to 7.
I was born in November of 1964 (hello Scorpios) in Coos Bay, Oregon, on the beautiful Oregon Coast!!
The luscious green trees sway back and forth as sea salt air flows through each branch and shakes the leaves as if, to welcome you.
The sound of ocean surf calms your spirit, and where each sunset shares space with our amazing ocean!!
The Oregon coast is a beautiful place to spend your time!
Let’s not forget the ever amazing forests in the mountains, personally…..I’ve always preferred the mountains.
It’s quiet, peaceful, and evergreen with streams and rivers that make their own unique sounds that can mesmerize your senses if you’re aware of the peace.
And we can’t forget the well-hidden wild animals, the birds, chipmunks, and any other inhabitants of our amazing forests!
You can smell the fresh air and bask in the rugged nature of Mother Earth!
For the last few years though, I must admit that I’ve been living inland.
Where it’s unusually hot (Medford area) and I’ll be the first to run for the air-conditioned house.
Just to catch my breath from well…breathing in hot air, yuk!
Then…….. it snows!!
Fun times indeed!!
So, let’s get to the meat of the situation.
Why I started this website!
I just truly decided to dive in headfirst to get these messages out to you!
I’m new at this…. so I warn you….. until I “GET IT” *(how to create an awesome informative site that PULLS YOU IN out of curiosity) you may find random pictures or funky foreign out-of-place words or sentences that I haven’t figured out how to delete or change (websites come preloaded)!
So, just giggle a bit and join in the fun!! Because I AM having fun here!!
My GOAL is this……
I absolutely MUST SHARE my reality with you on the subject of gratitude and the magical miracles that I have received and truly, what every person receives! (because…..Gratitude is LOVE!)
Seriously, if you want your life in every area, to go “your way”, gratitude is the key!!
Why I named this site Gratitude is the Secret is because I first read (in 2021) the book “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne.
It was published in 2006 and the information in that particular book was so unique that I HAD to learn more!
Then her second book “The Greatest Secret” made 16 years later published in 2021 is the one that cemented my “knowing” that this is the way to find freedom in everyone’s life.
I read this one 2 months after I read The Secret.
It’s like my spirit was tugging at my heart, letting me know, this is where I needed to start looking for whatever it was I was looking for…….(I didn’t know I was looking!!)
My own personal life had been completely shattered in 2008, and that’s after being shattered the first time by the unexpected death of my husband of 16 years in the year 2000.
The real deal here is that I have been angry, confused, lost, scared out of my mind every flipping day (on how to survive) and just plain ole grouchy, tired,and in so much pain!
In 2004 The Secret was written and this was after Rhonda had her life collapse around her and she was in complete and utter despair.
During Rhonda’s turmoil, her daughter Hayley, gave her a very unique gift.
This gift was a book that was published 100 years ago. Written by a man named Wallace D. Wattles called “The Science of Getting Rich”!
In her book “The Secret”, Rhonda claims that from Hayley’s gift of the book” The Science of Getting Rich”, Rhonda had been given a glimpse of a GREAT SECRET-The Secret to Life.
Now, THAT IS AN INTENSE, LIFE ALTERING STATEMENT if I do say so myself, would you agree also??!!
She wanted everyone to know! You know what……..I FEEL THE EXACT SAME WAY!!!

I’m a total believer in synchronicity….. so I’m pretty positive you stumbled here @ Gratitude is the Secret for a reason!
You are possibly here to gather more information about something that is intriguing to you.
Something IS pulling you to look!
(that’s when I pull the ole… driven by your spirit, your soul)!
In the time we are in now, we must admit that our soul, our spirit, is really pulling at our hearts to wake up, to see who we really are, and to start living through our heart!
Listen, I’m going to be TOTALLY OPEN about how and why I got here.
And at times you may think whoa….this is a bit much!!
It probably is…
I know you are very curious, just as I was and as I Am still.

A bit of advice “to you” that I have learned this past year…..
I can guarantee you that there are and will be people who think this is all, well, in one word……….. Wrong.
Advice I’ve learned throughout these studies is this……
NO ONE needs to ever know what you are doing or thinking, planning, dreaming…. EVER……
I have used this advice numerous times and I was able to keep my spirits and positivity up!
Being able to finish on top.
I received no advice, no words of wisdom from the peanut gallery!! …….just saying…..
I don’t think people mean to “accidentally” bring each other down!
Folks have their own beliefs and those beliefs can cloud their compassion to believe in you, or to lift you up and support “your” passions.
It does happen…. to some folks.
IF you know that there is a “”possibility”” that sharing this or anything else you love or are curious about will cause an unsettling ripple.
It’s SO simple………Don’t Share. (especially if it’s something that brings you joy and excitement)
YOUR HEART, YOUR SOUL, YOUR DREAMS, YOUR KNOWING, YOUR SEARCHING, is just that………… Y O U R S!
After a while people who know you will notice your subtle little changes.
If they start asking you what you’re up to and IF you fully trust that they care for your heart….spill the beans.
I want to give you a heads-up.
In the beginning of any new thing in your life, people we spend time with usually have opinions on what you’re doing!
Sometimes those opinions could detour you from the greatest secret you just found.
No matter what, your opinion is the ONLY opinion that matters!!
BUT, YOU do what FEELS RIGHT for YOU!! Okay?!!
The ultimate goal is to share this with EVERYBODY……God/Universe/Spirit will guide you.
There is no time frame, just live in love!!
